The Undercard Audiobook is a Ride
When Dreamscape Media, an award-winning audiobook publisher, acquired the rights of Undercard in early 2019, I was predictably very excited. I love audiobooks, and the thought of my novel becoming one was one more dream coming true. Also, the thought of a professional narrator reading my book aloud was tantalizing in its own right, as it would remove me, at least to a degree, from my work, and, again to a degree, I would be able to enjoy it as a fan as opposed to as the creator. I had no idea who Dreamscape would choose as narrator, and had to wait over a year to finally hear the audiobook of my novel, timed with its US release. Well, the narration by Leon Nixon did not disappoint. Listening to him read Undercard was one of the best professional experiences I’ve had since my book was picked up.
